Context links

Feedback is not criticism — it is the system talking to itself.

A context link is how you ground your work in existing evidence. When you publish a topic or propose a branch, you can attach up to three URLs — sources, references, or related discussions from other surfaces. The links render as cards on the topic page: Embeds. A topic holds at most three. A branch holds the same cap. The topic file stores the URL. It does not store the card. On the topic screen the links sit in the header carousel and, when the topic has any, in the topic sidebar: Topic.

Adding one

The write field is context_links, an object { "url": "https://..." }. The URL is an absolute http or https address, a /topics/{slug} path, or a topic id. On a seeded branch, a string array urls is a write alias for context_links.

A context index part carries its own context_links on the branch, together with body, description, and three tags. That part is specified in Topic types. Publishing the topic is Add topic / branch.
