Bookmarks
A bookmark is a private save. You can bookmark a topic or an individual branch — they are separate saves. The bookmark count on a card is public, but the list itself is yours alone.
How it works
The bookmark toggle sits on every topic card and every branch. Click it to save or remove. The count updates on the topic. Your saved items appear at /bookmarks — a private page that requires a session. A guest who opens it gets the sign-in modal.
The bookmarks page uses the same card layout as the profile log. Page size is 10.
| Filter | Choices |
|---|---|
| Sort | Newest, Oldest, Most voted |
| Show | Others' topics, Own topics, Topics, Branches |
| Type | All types, then each topic type |
| Tags | All tags, then each tag |
The last scope (Others'/Own) and the last kind (Topics/Branches) stay on between visits.
Limits
Bookmarks are rate-limited. Each toggle spends the bookmark:toggle budget. The bookmarks page is not public — it does not appear on /u/{handle}.md or /u/{handle}.json. The menu on the page notes: Bookmarks are only visible to you.
